My Wonderful Sweet Land of Liberty
...Where self-sufficient entrepreneurs serving a market of mutually-voluntary trade now find it necessary to kill themselves rather take in all that American can be.
Well, I guess if you did the "crime," but can't do the time...right folks, you freedom-loving people, you?

I doubt the guy in this story will kill himself but he also matches the discription: "...self-sufficient entrepreneurs serving a market of mutually-voluntary trade..."
As H.L. Menken said, "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats." Whatever it was that brought him to say that, I think things are much worse today.

Too much freedom to handle in a day...
Wonders never cease, I guess, but at least here in CA, you can get raw milk at Whole Foods (perhaps other places, too). Says on the bottle it's tested more vigorously or something. Must have been a rare outbreak of some modicum of common sense at the state legislature.
I had some the other day.
