• Tipping the scale at 230 (5'10) in May, 2007, at 30%+ body fat, I decided to do something about it. This blog, formerly a political blog, is about that continuing journey. Having now racked up nearly 60 pounds of fat loss and almost 20 pounds of muscle gain -- now weighing in at 190 and on the way to 10% BF -- I'm ready to reveal my "secrets." I'm enthusiastic about helping others achieve real results. The mainstream advice is mostly wrong.

One need only take a look around.

Roughing It

Here's a photo my brother shot Sunday night, just a bit after we arrived and set up. Then we got to cooking, and as you can see I have my favorite cooking oil on hand: coconut. If you've never used it -- and I hadn't until a couple months ago -- you may really be missing out.

What kind of meat was that you had with the stir fry?and i take a tablespoon full of coconut oil every day and let it melt in my mouth.

Bill

It was a throw-together of Bul-Go-Ki beef and three uncured all-beef franks from Trader Joes.

I love the stuff. Great post on coconut oil here -- http://www.modernforager.com/blog/2006/09/19/the-tropical-oils/
